Walking On Sunshine

December 5, 2016

The very first Walking on Sunshine Raceday to raise money for melanoma research was an outstanding success with more than 300 people attending the event in The Birdcage at Eagle Farm Racecourse.

Special guests included WOS ambassadors  peterupertlorettajilliansinger Pete Murray, poet Rupert McCall  and radio identity Loretta Ryan along with Channel 7 presenter Jillian Whiting.

During the day, a brand new Mazda thanks to Aspley’s Grand Prix mazda was given away to a lucky ticket holder.

Anne Stanton, the founder and chairman  of Walking on Sunshine is the driving force behind the foundation’s important work. Anne is a melanoma survivor, first diagnosed with the disease in 1987 aged just 27.

While she continues to live with melanoma, Anne’s incredible strength and determination has helped the Walking on Sunshine Foundation raise $300 000 since its inception.

Anne is grateful to all WOS supporters. For more information on how you can help raise money and awareness for melanoma research just go to the website!
