Pretty in Pink, Sizzling in Red

You don’t need to be Liza Minnelli to think that life is a cabaret!

There was so much going on in South East Queensland in the last week, but we did our best to get around.  Here are two of our highlights: the very sweet Molly Ringwald and the sizzling Prestige’s Fire and Ice night!

Life really is a cabaret!

You don’t need to be Liza Minnelli to think that life is a cabaret! It is Queensland’s Cabaret Festival time and who better to open the festival than the gorgeous redhead, Molly RingwaldAnd we had the best seats in the house!

If you were a child of the 80s, you would remember Molly from The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles, and didn’t we all want to be just like her?

Her sultry tunes kept the entire audience captivated as she shared with us what the songs represented in her life.  Her show was held at the Powerhouse in New Farm in a very intimate setting with tables and candles, and we could definitely just sit back and listen to her all night with our glass of vinos in hand.

Molly was promoting her CD ‘Except Sometimes’ and was signing copies after the show, so of course we had our copy signed.  It was truly an amazing night and if you get the opportunity to see one of her shows in Australia, we highly recommend it.

Fire and Ice Spectacular – called for a “Sex in the City” girls’ night out!

For an extravaganza night, the Prestige Fire and Ice Spectacular Gala event was the ultimate outing for our group of 10 fabulous girlfriends.

We definitely felt like Samantha and Carrie all night, but we were missing Mr. Big!

Each entry ticket included a glass of bubbles on arrival, gourmet canapés, a selection of four signature drinks from Prestige’s Fire and Ice Beverage Menu, and an amazing fire show with entertaining dancers.  Live a little and don’t miss the next one!

Next on The Social Report: we’re cosying up to James Blundell; we’ll Bust a Move with the Mater Chicks in Pink; and of course, glamming up for the She High Tea!
