Yes it was that time of the year again, the one day a year that stops the nation! We got our giddy up for 2016 Melbourne Cup and headed to the Flute Cocktail & Lounge Bar! We couldn’t resist a kind invitation from the owner Rosina Card & Marketing/Events Manager Candice Gunn to emcee their function on the day. The venue is simply amazing, and is Brisbane’s newest boutique bar on three gorgeous levels with a ‘sparkling’ atmosphere. Their Spring Soirée consisted of a sparkling on arrival, with a 4-hour beverage package including Mumm Champagne, wine, spirits and their signature cocktail – The Flemington Fling. The package also combined sumptuous gourmet canapés, fresh oysters, cheese station, and of course fashions-on-the-field and live race day coverage with amazing sweepstakes. Wow!
We were both dressed by Eustinah from McFashion Trends wearing beautiful Camilla dresses. We absolutely love Camilla the designer as there is intricate detail to each piece. The dresses flow beautifully making them suitable for any occasion. The ladies got the opportunity to have their hair and make-up touched up by professional stylists, while their expert photographer was on hand to capture those special moments.
The day couldn’t have happened without some amazing sponsors including Beginning Boutique, Black Jacket Suiting, Flight Centre, Mumm Champagne and Asahi who all donated some amazing prizes on the day.
Whether you have a win or not on the day, it is always so much fun. Being served by incredibly friendly staff also makes for a good time! From their plush interiors and luxurious ambiance, their private VIP booths and exquisite decor we didn’t want the day to end.
Global Champagne Day – yes there is such a day! I’m sure many of the ladies agree with us, and think it’s Champagne Day everyday! But in fact, there is a special day to celebrate, and this year was Friday 21 October, so of course this was a “compulsory event” and we got to celebrate in style at Flute Cocktail & Lounge Bar as well! It was a very “sparkly” event, with the best Mumm being served throughout the crowd.
