Singapore – infinity and beyond!

October 13, 2016

We reluctantly walked the glass bridge in our high heels but it was worth it to have cocktails at the Supertree-top bistro!

We’d love to share more of our exciting Singapore trip with you!

A grand tour

Marina Bay is stunning and we were spoilt given it was the spectacular view we had from our hotel room. We were also spoilt with a grand tour of our hotel—the Marina Bay Sands—thanks to our guide, Ms Philicia Tan.

The tour included a look at the luxurious Presidential Suite – we had never seen anything quite like it! This suite had its own hairdressing and massage rooms, automated toilets seats, 24-hour butler, all bedrooms with ensuites, two living areas, a theatre and the list goes on.

We then headed to the world’s highest and longest infinity pool with its unrivalled panoramic views stretching over 150 metres across Sands Sky Park, and sorry, only accessible to hotel guests.  The view from the Infinity Pool at Marina Bay Sands was breathtaking (pictured above).

We had a wonderful stay … who wouldn’t given the chance to gaze at the view through the five-star hotel’s floor-to-ceiling glass windows, drinking cocktails and enjoying the picture-perfect Gardens by the Bay?

Gardens by the Bay

singers2gGardens by the Bay is a huge, colourful, futuristic park in the bay area of Singapore and it is a must do while you are there.

The famous Supertree structures offer an impressive skywalk over the gardens; over-sized seashell-shaped greenhouses recreate chilly mountain climates; and there are hundreds of trees and plants to discover, making this destination great fun for kids and adults.

The best place to grasp the size of Gardens by the Bay is from the top of Marina Bay Sands, which sits directly opposite the park. Its 250 acres of reclaimed land on the waterfront!

We reluctantly walked the glass bridge in our high heels, but it was worth it to have lunch followed by cocktails up 50-metres high on the top of one the Supertrees called the Supetree-top Bistro.

Singapore Zoo

We were up bright and early to visit the Singapore Zoo and have breakfast with the orangutans.  The Singapore Zoo is the only place in the world where you can have breakfast with not one but an entire family of orangutans – an experience of a lifetime.

We highly recommend everyone do this when in Singapore as it’s the world’s largest rainforest zoo. The breakfast was hearty and included delicious tastes, accompanied by fresh air and greenery. Plus you get to know more about the wild forest family present.

With our media tickets, our tour guide drove us around in a buggy, VIP-style, to some of their most popular exhibits and we got to go behind-the-scenes to see how the animals were cared for by staff.

There were so many attractions including tigers, zebras, flamingos, white rhinos and more. It was such a fun day.

Singapore, we love you!
