From The Boardroom To The Dance Floor!

May 9, 2017

We were so excited to attend the Dancing CEO’s Gala Ball this year that we even touched up on our tap dancing skills beforehand. This is the most entertaining charity event and largest annual gala held every year at the Brisbane City Hall.

It is such a great opportunity for some of Brisbane’s leading CEOs to swap the boardroom for the dance floor in front of 900 guests to support the prevention of domestic violence. Wow! We could tell the CEO’s this year had been putting in the hard yards, as they really wowed us with their performances!

There was so much creative choreography & costumes throughout the evening, with a wide array of mixed performances, which filled the room with lots of energy as everyone cheered on their own teams.

The CEOs worked hard showing off their impressive talents on stage, as they had to impress the panel of high profile judges including Damien Anthony Rossi, Maria Becis and Angela Mogridge.

It was a truly an official black tie event with the red carpet rolled out, and we were greeted on arrival by the exquisite glamourous ladies on walking stilts as we ventured in for the pre-event drinks in King George Square.

There was an amazing gourmet food and beverage packaged served, and all night fun with a photo booth, candy bar, special surprises and of course the best dance floor in Brisbane!

The evening was emceed by the dynamic Josh Holt from Network Ten, and at the end of the evening was thrilled to announce that a grand total of $260,000 was raised towards the Women’s Legal Service to support women and children that experience domestic violence.

It was a wonderful milestone towards such a great cause. By donating to Dancing CEOs you aren’t just supporting your CEO – you are helping another Queensland woman and her children to safety.

All funds raised by Dancing CEOs 2017 will help to keep the Helpline open, and help us to help more women with nowhere else to go.

We can’t wait to go next year, bring it on!
