In the wake of Hollywood’s Time’s Up movement Oprah Winfrey, winner of this years Cecil B DeMille Award delivered the most poignant speech in the history of the Golden Globes and expressed gratitude to all the women who have endured years of abuse and assault.
Oprah became the first African-American woman to receive the award, bestowed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment”.
Kicking off the awards season, the Golden Globes of this year has proven that 2018 is finally the year of huge change for women throughout the world.
